Speaking from experience

What I bring into the room.

Change is the only constant. Whether it’s a new role, a turning point in our career or something we didn’t choose, even welcome changes can bring difficult transitions.

I’ve experienced change from different perspectives, both personally and professionally. My talks draw on those experiences and a genuine curiosity about how we respond, what shapes our choices and what it takes to grow into something new. Through personal stories and practical insights, I offer audiences ideas they can apply to their own careers, lives and leadership.

Talks

Topics I speak on.

Four talks on the human side of professional transitions, from identity and self-leadership to the changing expectations of work.

Identity

Bold Enough to OWN Your Story

We all carry stories about where we come from, what we’re worth and who we’re meant to be. Some still serve us. Others quietly hold us back. Drawing on my own journey from South Africa to London, and from accountant to coach, I use three questions about origins, worth and narrative to help audiences see which stories they’re living by and which ones they’re ready to rewrite.

Audiences leave with: a clearer view of the stories shaping their choices, and the confidence to question them.

Transition

The Art of Transition

A promotion, a new role or a change of direction can happen overnight. Feeling ready for it usually takes longer. Your circumstances change, but the way you see yourself doesn’t always keep up. Drawing on the psychology of transition, this talk looks at that in-between space, what’s worth carrying forward and what it takes to lead yourself into what’s next.

Audiences leave with: a practical way to understand where they are in a transition and what will help them move through it.

Self-leadership

The Courage to Do Things Differently

Courage at work rarely looks like a big leap. More often it’s a quiet decision: speaking up in the meeting, saying no to the extra project, or making a choice without knowing how it will turn out. Drawing on conversations from the Courage Loading podcast, this talk is about those everyday moments and how to act on them.

Audiences leave with: permission to start small, and practical ways to act with courage in their own roles.

The future of work

What AI Can’t Do for You

AI can analyse, summarise and draft faster than any of us. But it can’t read the room, make the judgement call or bring people with you. This talk focuses on the human capabilities technology can’t replicate, such as judgement, critical thinking, communication and influence, and why they matter more as the workplace changes.

Audiences leave with: a clearer sense of which human skills to invest in, and how to start building them now.

Every talk can be adapted to your audience, your event and the time available.
